We have a local atmospheric scientist who claims that summer doesn't officially arrive until July 12th. I think he's correct. I always discourage my friends and family from visiting during May & June because they can be cruel months: weather in the 50's and rainy. When the rest of the country is enjoying outdoor bar-be-que, we're huddled in our houses hoping that, someday, the sun will shine!
